Lovely vintage find

Check out this sweet vintage wooden magazine rack I found at Blonde Vintage. I just love the faded rose stickers on the sides. After a trip to the post office to mail one of my 'Gnome Town' Pinafores to a lucky customer I just couldn't resist having a look in one of my favourite shops in Ballarat. Now my fave magazines have a home.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

I want/need this....

OK! I think it's about time I had a break from sewing and did a bit of online window shopping. Good idea?
Here are just a few things i found (sigh) -
This lovely vintage dress, in my favourite shade of green from {twin set}.

OK! I must admit, I'm not a huge fan of tattoos but when they have illustrations by French artist Alain Gree, how can I resist. I found these sweeties at Kidostore.
How adorably delicious are these reproduction retro vintage dolls from Lapin & Me.
A knitted Birthday cake from Creme de la Creme ala EdgarSuper . Super sweet but without the calories.
I'm in love with this vintage Tom Thumb kids size typewriter from Blue Carrot. Just look at those bright green keys....love it!
This sweet one of a kind retro necklace by Mad Mame. Love the vintage enamel earring and chunky white beads...very clever.
This adorable vintage mushroom kitchen canister set is from Freckle Wonder.

Well that was fun and I didn't even spend one cent...er....not yet anyway.

Now! back to sewing.

A drive in the country

Today we decided to make the most of this beautiful sunshine and go for a drive in the country. The roads were nice and quiet, probably because the idiot drivers were home watching the AFL final (he he ).

My little darling son Ronan had a nap in the car...heavenly.

I did a bit of op shopping, though not alot of places were open due to the grand final (darn football!!!). Found this sweet vase ( love the apple design), some vintage fabric (yellow strawberries!..love it) and a fantastic Rag Doll pattern from 1970.

On the drive home we stopped at this sweet little gift/homewares shop on Main Street, Gordon. It's called Decadence House of Gordon Wares and is owned and run by a lovely lady named Lorraine Gale. Have a look if you are ever in the area.

I just loved this very retro, bright orange, metal chest of drawers....

....and this 'sweet' cupcake display.

I had to get this pretty handmade cross-stitched Scottie dog bookmark. A bookworm like me can't have too many bookmarks.

Enjoy the sunshine :)
