After what has been a miserable week at home, John, Liam and I decided to enjoy this glorious sunny weather and take a drive in the country. I've been indoors all week caring for kids (and myself) with the flu. It was wonderful to finally get outside (if only for a short time) and get some fresh air. Our first stop was the Daylesford Flea Markets for a coffee and pancakes. Sunday drives are not quite right for our son Liam, if he doesn't get his dutch pancakes with maple syrup and icing sugar ( i feel the same way about coffee). Our next stop was Kyneton, an little town full of amazing shops and great places to eat. I feel in love with this quirky little shop called Kabinett. It specializes in industrial homewares and collectables. Check out what i bought at the end of this post....i love it. Here are a few pics from the store -
Here are my finds this week - This amazing industrial light fixture from Kabinett. I can't wait to show you how it's looks in our newly painted living room (pics soon) AND this groovy 1960's kitchen canister set from a local op shop. The gold paint details have worn off in places, but this could easily be fixed. I must confess, I found this canister set last week but forgot to share it. The only time I've been "out" this week was a trip to the dentist (ouch!) and chemist. I'm so looking forward to cold and flu season ending...sniff.
Hope you are well. If not, take good care of yourself
