seeing mushrooms everywhere

Another collection of lovely things from my shops. Can you guess the theme for this weeks collection?
You guessed it - Mushrooms

Michael Miller fabric in Retro Mushroom print.

Here is the same fabric made into a very popular dress. This pinafore is currently for sale in sizes 4 and 5.
I've almost run out of fabric for this cute dress. So if you want a Gnometown Pinafore you better be quick.
Mushroom buttons

New to the shop this week - Mushroom Glass beads.

Happy crafting everyone :)

More "Miss Miranda" Pinafores!

Just put a few more pinafores in the shops.

I'll be so glad to start a new design. Don't get me wrong - I do love this dress, but I'm starting to dream of piping! I could probably make this dress in my sleep :)

Take a look!

FREE POSTAGE till the end of October.

Sleepovers and Wheat Porridge

I'm so in love with this quilt.

It reminds me of when I use to stay at my Grandmas as a little girl...is that wheat porridge I can smell ?(sigh)...good times.

My Grandmother had a few of these quilts, but none of them survived to present day as they were well loved. I'm sure they had a happy life.

Its going to sad to let this beauty go, but let it go I must. I've just put it in my Etsy shop.....go and have a look. Postage is free for Aussie customers.

The next quilt will definitely be for me.

After posting these pictures I feel like getting back into my pj's, making myself a hot chocolate, grabbing a great book and jumping into bed.

Hope you are feeling warm and cosy. Take care :)

Miss Miranda

Introducing the "Miss Miranda" Pinafore.

It will available in my etsy and madeit shops any time now, in sizes 1 - 6.

We finally had some lovely weather here in Ballarat this weekend, so we decided to get dressed up and head outside for a quick photo shoot.
The cute model in the pics is my 8yr old daughter Miranda, and the very talented photographer is my 18yr old daughter Winona.

Bring on more of this beautiful weather!!!

Hello Betty

Here is a little dress I whipped up this afternoon for Diddle & Ro, using a pattern I designed myself. It's the same pattern I used to make the mushroom pinafores, minus the piping and waist tabs.

I used a fabric called"Hello Betty"by Chloe's Closet, hence the name of this post. I've edged the waistband and pockets with white ric rac, and used cute vintage look buttons.

The pics aren't the greatest, as they were taken at 9pm in a poorly lit house...but you still get the general idea. I'm waiting for some nicer weather (it's pouring here!) so I can get some outdoor pic's...much nicer. Might have to model them with gumboots and umbrellas :)

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I might even make a couple more tomorrow.

Hello

I haven't been feeling very motivated about blogging lately..not sure exactly why. Maybe it's because our Internet is currently painfully slow, or that I can't bring myself to put down the great book I'm currently reading, or maybe it's just because sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself and blogging is just a waste of time. HELLO! IS ANYONE OUT THERE!!!! If you are looking at my blog PLEASE leave a comment. Even just a ''hello'' ...... I would really appreciate it.

OK enough complaining. Here are just a few things I've been up to.

Finished a heap of pinafores, which will be going into my Etsy and Madeit stores in the next few days. Just need to get some nicer pics :)

Did a bit of op-shopping. Didn't find alot, but what I did find, I'm thrilled with.

I just love this Alain Gree book I found for $1.00. It's in as-new condition. I just love those colours. I'm a huge fan of Alain Gree illustrations, but his books are hard to come by and go for alot on eBay. I found this book in a box hidden under a rack of shoes...it really pays to rummage when op-shopping.....a real hidden treasure.
These sweet vintage patterns were a great find. I can't wait to use them.

Some fabric arrived in the mail this week....ready to be made into lovely things for my shop.

Now back to that great book I was reading ....te he he :)
